CLASSES FOR 2022-23
Classes are free for Full members of the Guild. Registration is done in person on Tuesday, Sept 13 from 10 am to noon. If you cannot be present then, get a friend to sign you up or mail your Registration & payment by Sept 2, 2022. Payment is by cheque or cash only. *New this year* if you would like to pre-pay by e-transfer, registration fees will be accepted at cegguelph@gmail.com on or before Sept 2, 2022. CLASSES
Classes are the heart and soul of the Guild and we are looking forward to getting together in person come September. Full membership is $90 and classes are then free.
Registration will be Tuesday September 13 from 10 am to noon. Meetings (with classes) will then be on these dates: Sept 20, Oct 4, Oct 18, Nov 1, Nov 15, Nov 29. A special workshop is planned for Oct 25 & 26. The one-day Christmas Workshops will be Dec 6.
A whole new set of classes will start in January 2023. See the Classes page for dates.
MEMBERSHIP
For the 2022-23 year, Full Memberships will be $90 and Associate Memberships will be $40.
Full member benefits include classes and:
– afternoon speakers and mini workshops, demonstrations, films.
– 1-2 workshops each year (extra cost)
– field trips (extra cost)
– library resources
– information about workshops, classes, displays, juried shows etc. in other centres.
– Annual Open House and display of work
– newsletter three times a year
OPEN HOUSE
April 18
Our Open House is a visual feast of the work of over 50 artists and a retrospective of not only our class work but also the creative work that each of us have been doing on our own. This once a year event will be on Tuesday April 18th, 2023 from 1-5 pm at Kortright Presbyterian Church, 55 Devere Drive in Guelph. A tea room is included, of course!

- Stitch in Public Sat Sept 24

The Embroiderers’ Association of Canada has declared the last Saturday in September to be National Stitch-in-Public Day. That will be Sat Sept 24th, this year. While our Guild is not a member of the EAC, we are all in favour of stitching! So, you are encouraged to bring your work to the park or the mall or even your own front yard and let others see your love of embroidery! Have fun!
